Job summary

AECOM’s Transportation team seeks a Civil Highway Engineering Designer to support Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia projects. You will contribute to large interstate design-builds and local roadways, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable transportation solutions.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with 4+ years of highway design experience and proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Must have Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4+ years of highway/transportation design experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed and routine engineering tasks for highway and roadway projects.
• Develop signing, pavement marking plans, construction phasing, and MOT plans.
• Coordinate with disciplines; resolve utility conflicts with client feedback.
• Prepare specs, quantities, cost estimates, and 3D models using OpenRoads/MicroStation/Civil 3D.
