Job summary

AECOM’s Transportation team seeks a Civil Highway Engineering Designer to support projects across PA, DE, and WV. The role offers hybrid work and opportunities to contribute to large regional design-build interstate projects and local efforts.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, using advanced design tools to deliver sustainable transportation solutions. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 4+ years of highway design experience, and an EIT certification or the ability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4+ years of highway/ transportation design experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Valid US driver’s license for site visits and client meetings.
Demonstrated experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Perform highway and roadway design tasks, including calculations and analyses.
Oversee signing, pavement marking plans, construction phasing, and MOT plans.
Coordinate with disciplines to resolve utility conflicts and support project deliverables.
Prepare specifications, quantities, cost estimates, technical reports, and 3D models.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals.
