Job summary

Consor in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a roadway design engineer to support transportation improvement projects, with emphasis on geometric design, alignments, profiles, and design documentation. You’ll apply Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D, perform calculations, and collaborate with field teams across office and field environments.

A PE license and 4+ years of transportation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
