Job summary

Consor is seeking a roadway design engineer to contribute to transportation improvement projects through geometric analyses, design, and detailing of local, county, and state roadway projects. You will work with established design criteria and software, reporting to the project manager.

The role requires a PE license and 4+ years of transportation engineering experience, with proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D. This is a hybrid position, combining office and field work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
• Hybrid office/field work environment; occasional exposure to inclement weather and outdoor conditions.
• Physical demands include sitting, standing, lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for design analysis.
