Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway CAD Technician to provide high‑quality drafting support across municipal and transportation projects in Texas. You will work with project managers, engineers, and design teams to review and refine drawings for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.

From planning and conceptual layouts to detailed design and permitting, you’ll develop precise roadway plans, profiles, and corridor models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to

Qualifications

Formal CAD/drafting training or relevant certification
Experience with transportation engineering drawings, preferably TxDOT
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for plan production and drafting standards

Responsibilities

Review roadway, drainage, traffic control, and utility plans to develop accurate drawings.
Prepare and revise detailed roadway design plans and profiles using CAD software.
Produce plan sets in coordination with engineers and project teams to meet standards.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation including calculations and reports.
Create and modify alignments, surfaces, corridors, and grading models in Civil 3D.
Perform quality control reviews of plan sets for drafting accuracy and standards.
Coordinate with survey and drainage teams to integrate design elements.
Support project delivery with construction plans, erosion control plans, and exhibits.
