Job summary

Proficiency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and applying formulas.
Ability to perform field measurements and calculate quantities from plans and specifications.
Proficient with iPad and common office tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Responsibilities

Assist in inspecting roadways and structures and perform calculations under supervision.
Collect materials weigh tickets and conduct roadway tests to ensure specifications are met.
Monitor and perform inspection on highway projects and maintain daily records; prepare monthly estimates.
Take field measurements and read plans/blueprints to determine contract quantities.
Communicate with agency, contractors, and the public; work in diverse environments and weather conditions.
