Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Peachtree Corners, GA is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Roadway team. This on-site role involves supporting project managers with a variety of civil design tasks, including alignments, grading, drainage, and multimodal roadway improvements, with on-the-job training and mentorship.

The position requires an ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering, EIT or Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a professional setting.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with civil engineering tasks across multiple projects.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, grading and drainage designs.
• Create streetscape and roadway improvements with multimodal designs including trails and complete streets.
• Prepare signage, striping and signal plans and contribute to plan production.
• Receive on-the-job training and mentorship with exposure to project financials and client interactions.
