Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is looking for both Junior and Senior level CAD Technicians to support our Southwest Region teams based in Texas cities including Austin, Houston, and Rockwall. This role involves coordinating geometric design projects and working with engineers on roadway planning and design.

The ideal candidates will have an associate degree and 3-15 years of experience in roadway drafting. The position offers competitive benefits including an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and a 401(k) with employer matching.

Qualifications

• 3-15 years of prior experience with roadway drafting.
• Under 3 years experience evaluated with degree in Computer Aided Drafting.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers using OpenRoads Designer for roadway plans.
• Prepare calculations for roadway and bridge projects.
• Coordinate tasks with team and supervisor.
