Job description

We are currently searching for a Junior level and Senior level CAD Technician to support our Southwest Region located in Texas.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide assistance to engineers using OpenRoads Designer to create roadway plan sets and perform minor design work on roadway projects.
• Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title, and detail sheets on production sets of plans.
• Prepare minor mathematical calculations and quantity calculations for roadway/bridge projects.
• Work with engineers to develop 3D models using OpenRoads Designer.
• Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance.
• Research design options and document findings.
• Coordinate assignments with project team and supervisor.
• Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Be a team player and assist other groups as needed.

What You Need To Have

• Associate degree from a technical or four‑year school.
• Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a similar field is preferred.
• 3–15 years of prior experience with roadway drafting.
• Under 3 years of experience will be evaluated if applicant has a degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a similar field.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Bonus Points If You Have

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in OpenRoads Designer.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
