Job summary

Kimley-Horn's roadway team in Naples, FL seeks an experienced CAD Operator to support concept development, preliminary and final design, and detailed drawings for transportation projects.

You will create geometric alignments, profiles, and drainage design using CAD software, perform quality checks, and maintain drawing databases while coordinating with staff to meet schedules. This is an on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant roadway CAD experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk or Bentley software.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to learn Kimley-Horn practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary and final roadway design for projects.
• Develop geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading, drainage, and supersession/construct details as applicable.
• Prepare construction details, work zone traffic control, erosion control, and signing/striping plans.
• Create technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings of substantial complexity and perform calculations as needed.
• Maintain drawing database and coordinate with staff to meet schedules and ensure quality.
• Possibly supervise and train CAD staff.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.
