Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to join our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection team. You will work at project locations across multiple states, including GA, and gain real-world experience inspecting traffic control, materials and construction methods under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic math, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and the ability to read plans. Domestic travel and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
• Basic knowledge of arithmetic.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn new applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Determine acceptability of day-to-day work; review daily contractor reports and QC procedures.
• Review material testing procedures and may perform sampling or in‑place testing.
