Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to respond to tire-related failures for semi-truck fleets at customer locations. The role involves roadside service, tire mounting, and general shop support when calls are slow.

Starting pay is $22.00/hour with no experience or $25.00/hour with experience. Training provided; on-call duties include after-hours calls paid at double time, weekends and nights included.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience isn't required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including PPE use and following safety policies.
• On-call rotation with after-hours service calls paid at double time with a minimum of 2 hours per call.
