Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience supervising outdoor operation crews (litter, grounds, solid waste).
• Preferred higher education and progression experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grounds maintenance and litter collection along roadways and at facilities; assign work and ensure safety and compliance.
• Supervise employees; set schedules; conduct safety meetings; manage time and leave; mentor new hires; evaluate performance.
• Oversee contracted litter collection: manage vendors, review invoices, resolve issues.
• Coordinate volunteers and inmates for community service and special cleanup events.
• Operate and track vehicles and equipment; coordinate maintenance and inventory reports.
• Document performance standards and operational data; communicate with other departments and the public.
