Job summary

FirstLine Road Solutions in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Light Service Battery Technician to join our active field team. This role involves responding to roadside requests, delivering fuels, assisting with battery services, and keeping vehicles safe and ready for service.

The ideal candidate enjoys active work, communicates well, and provides excellent customer service. Training is provided; a valid driver's license and the ability to work in various weather conditions are required.

Qualifications

• Must reside near assigned area to meet service times.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk and stand for periods in all weather.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Heavy equipment experience a plus.
• Willing to undergo background and drug screening.
• Capable of driving in inclement weather and safe driving practices.
• Proficient with mobile/computer apps for admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched calls promptly and safely.
• Provide roadside assistance and document ETA and status.
• Perform emergency road service duties (flat tires, fuel delivery, lockouts, battery tests).
• Inspect truck daily and complete pre-shift checks.
• Maintain clean, organized yard and equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company protocols.
• Report damaged or missing tools to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
