Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking CHAMP Operators in District 5, covering Baxley, Waycross, Brunswick, Statesboro, and Savannah, GA. Starting pay is $20/hr.

Operators safeguard motorists by keeping roadways clear, reporting issues, and assisting stranded drivers while using company vehicles and equipment. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and be willing to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or 1 year relevant work experience in lieu of education.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certifications to be obtained.
• Strong basic automotive repair knowledge encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor assigned interstate segments, identifying stranded motorists and roadway issues.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and District offices.
• Provide courteous customer service to the public and assist motorists in need.
• Assist with safety and regulatory compliance during operations.
• Document roadway deficiencies and report them as required.
• Be on-call 24/7 and respond to after-hours incidents.
