Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking Roadside Assistance Maintenance Operators to support the Georgia Department of Transportation's CHAMP program. Operators patrol interstates, assist stranded motorists, and report issues to keep roadways safe. Starting pay is $20/hr.

District 6 covers Cartersville, Dalton, Buchanan, and Rome, with a fully equipped vehicle and communications gear provided. Ideal candidates have solid mechanical or automotive repair skills, driving experience, and readiness to be on call

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive a patrol vehicle and patrol interstate segments.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor segments of interstate roadways in assigned regions.
• Assist stranded motorists with dead batteries, gas, tires, etc.
• Report roadway deficiencies to Dispatch or District offices.
• Provide safe, courteous service and maintain driving records.
• Wear PPE and comply with traffic laws and company policies.
• Be on call 24/7 and respond to after-hours calls as needed.
