Job summary

AECOM is seeking CHAMP Operators in District 1 (Gainesville, Athens, Carnesville, and Cleveland) to patrol interstate segments, assist stranded motorists, and report issues. Roles include on-call shifts, use of company vehicle, radio communication, and adherence to safety and legal standards.

Ideal candidates have solid mechanical/auto repair skills, prior driving experience, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid. Company provides equipment and 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old and able to drive a company vehicle.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; no license suspension in last 5 years.
• Must pass state and federal background checks and drug screen.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor interstate roadways within a region.
• Communicate via dispatch radio; provide strong customer service.
• Assist motorists with dead batteries, out of gas, flat tires, etc.
• Ensure compliance with laws and report roadway deficiencies.
• Be on call 24/7 and respond to after-hours calls.
