Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Technician I-Tow to deliver safe, high-quality roadside assistance for AAA members. You will respond to dispatch calls, assess scene safety, perform minor mechanical tasks, and tow vehicles when required, while promoting AAA products.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+, a valid driver’s license, and a satisfactory motor vehicle record. Auto tech training and electrical troubleshooting familiarity are preferred; comprehensive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by one state required.
• Must pass motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and during employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Dispatch or members with ETA; locate and approach members.
• Assess safety of the scene on arrival and position vehicle for safe service.
• Provide minor mechanical assistance and towing as per policy/guidelines.
• Maintain service vehicle and equipment in good working order and inventory.
• Educate members on AAA products and services; promote other AAA offerings.
• Operate MDC computer to receive/update calls and collect payments.
