Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering; related experience may be considered.
• 5+ years in transportation engineering, roadway design, construction inspection, project management, or municipal permitting.
• GDOT standards familiarity; ability to read plans, permits, and technical studies; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage roadway and transportation capital projects from concept through construction.
• Review project scopes, engineering designs, cost estimates, schedules, specifications, bid documents, and budgets.
• Coordinate with GDOT, developers, contractors, utilities, and county departments to resolve design deficiencies and permitting issues.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, analyses, presentations, and recommendations for the Engineering Director and County leadership.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and administer contracts related to roads and transportation.
