Job summary

The City of St. Cloud is hiring a Maintenance Worker for Roads & Stormwater to operate dump trucks, assist with heavy equipment, and perform essential street/utility work.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must hold or obtain a valid Florida Class B CDL within 150 days of employment.
• Certifications required or to be obtained within 150 days: Stormwater Level 1, M of Traffic Level 1, Trenching and Shoring, Confined Space, Forklift Operator, FEMA 100/200/700/800.

Responsibilities

• Operates dump truck and flatbed truck.
• Works with and assist heavy equipment operator.
• Operates heavy equipment on an as needed basis.
• Assists with installation and repair of storm water sewer lines.
• Assists with repair, removal and installation of sidewalks and walkways.
• Assists with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• Removes and repairs asphalt.
• Performs regular routine maintenance and service of trucks and equipment.
• Performs related work as assigned.
