Job summary

The City’s Roads & Stormwater Division is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join our Public Works team. You will perform semi-skilled and skilled labor to maintain our roads, stormwater systems, and related infrastructure in the Town of Florida.

The schedule is 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with possible standby hours. You will operate dump trucks and assist with heavy equipment, sidewalks, concrete, and routine maintenance of trucks and equipment.

• Ability to operate dump trucks and assist with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates dump truck and flatbed truck.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates dump truck and flatbed truck.
• Works with and assist heavy equipment operator.
• Operates heavy equipment on an as needed basis.
• Assists with installation and repair of storm water sewer lines.
• Assists with repair, removal and installation of sidewalks and walkways.
• Assists with forming, pouring, and finishing concrete.
• Removes and repairs asphalt.
• Performs regular routine maintenance and service of trucks and equipment.
• Performs related work as assigned.
