Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive growth across a car dealership network. You will be the face of the company, building trust with dealers and delivering superior service while expanding your territory with strategic plans and proactive outreach.

You will travel daily to dealerships, manage Vehicle Condition Inspectors and KPIs, and use Salesforce for reporting. A background in automotive sales and a proactive, self-motivated approach are required.

Qualifications

• 5 year Dealership experience in either used or new car business.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience selling into dealerships; auction knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel daily to dealerships.
• Strong understanding of retail/wholesale marketplace in a business context.
• Excellent relationship-building skills in person and by phone.
• Ability to build internal and external networks to increase effectiveness.
• Upside, positive demeanor and self-motivation; able to work independently.
• Experienced with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
• Must be able to travel for meetings and training.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow and build new business in your territory.
• Service accounts in person and via phone, seeking incremental growth.
• Utilize Salesforce daily for reporting and tracking.
• Achieve or exceed sales goals.
• Develop relationships with dealers to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Understand competition and how to sell against it.
• Assess customers’ wholesale inventory needs and offer ACV solutions.
• Educate customers on product breadth and services available.
• Forecast and report monthly and annual activity.
• Ensure customers understand products through consultative selling.
• Maintain current customer satisfaction by addressing problems promptly.
• Market the company to customers and communicate product advantages.
• Be aware of financial activity within your book of business.
