Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Supervisor, Operations, Road Transport US to oversee daily transportation, dispatch, and freight brokerage while leading a team of operations staff. You will ensure service performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and bilingual communication in English and Spanish, with a focus on operational excellence and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in transportation, dispatch, logistics, or freight brokerage.
• Lead, supervise, or mentor employees in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation, dispatch, freight brokerage, and customer service activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop assigned operations staff; set priorities and monitor performance.
• Monitor shipment activity, service levels, and address delays or issues.
• Coordinate freight execution and carrier capacity, including rate negotiations and bookings.
• Serve as escalation point for customer, carrier, and system issues; resolve promptly.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and manage onboarding of new accounts.
• Develop SOPs and operate processes; align with sales and management teams.
• Establish and report KPIs; seek efficiency, service and cost improvements.
• Assess staffing needs and participate in hiring and training.
