McLane is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution of products to customer locations and exposure to warehouse operations. You will train with a Driver Trainer and work toward obtaining a Class A CDL in six months or less.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and adaptability, with benefits starting on day one and opportunities to advance within a nationwide logistics network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects and submit inspection reports.
• Document delivery receipts, temperatures, and exceptions with the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Learn driving regulations and driver skills while training with a Driver Trainer.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Assist the Driver in unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
