Job summary

Responsibilities include handling multiple vehicle class tests, ensuring proper documentation, and guiding applicants through the licensing process while maintaining professional communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
• Nationwide criminal background check including fingerprinting.
• Before being certified to administer CDL knowledge tests must complete a formal CDL test examiner trainer course and examination.

Responsibilities

• Administers road test examinations for multiple vehicle classes (A, B, C, D, E, F) and CDL in CDL offices.
• Determines applicants' fitness and competency to safely operate motor vehicles.
• Executes written, oral and automated tests; conducts pre-trip inspections.
• Handles driver licenses, permits, registrations, plates, and titles processing; updates customer records.
• Responds to inquiries about driver, vehicle, registration, titling, and insurance requirements.
• Greets customers and directs them to appropriate areas; collects fees and reconciles daily reports.
