Job summary

South Carolina DMV is seeking a License Examiner II at the Pickens Branch to conduct road tests for multiple vehicle classes, administer written and oral exams, and process license and registration documents. The role requires a valid SC driver’s license, clean background, and good customer service skills.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with one year of driving experience.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Administers written, oral and automated examinations to determine applicant knowledge of laws and driving procedures.
• Administers road tests and performs pre-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Processes license, permits, registrations and related documents and answers customer inquiries.
