Job summary

Jobtailor in Ohio is seeking an experienced diesel/heavy equipment technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of equipment. You will work in diverse, remote locations as part of a safety‑focused team with opportunities to progress into service or operations management.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, a High School Diploma or GED, and a CDL may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Some trade school or equivalent training desired
3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors when required by the job
