Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of equipment. You will encounter various makes and models and support devices like aerial platforms, power generators, and HVAC systems, depending on location.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of related experience, strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
