Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a heavy equipment operator to safely run a variety of equipment on road construction sites in Mississippi. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficiency on demanding outdoor projects.

Competitive pay and benefits are offered. You will follow directions from the Foreman, perform pre-use inspections, and help train newer staff while maintaining a strong safety record in accordance with OSHA/MSHA standards.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Previous construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding job.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely at road, site or highway construction and paving projects.
• Work in a team environment with co-workers and managers.
• Follow Foreman directions and report issues to management.
• Inspect equipment and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to OSHA/MSHA safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Occasionally travel and work nights or weekends as needed.
• Perform general labor and assist with maintenance.
