Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a varied fleet across challenging sites. You’ll work with aerial lifts, pumps, HVAC, and other heavy equipment in a safety‑conscious environment.

High school diploma and 3–5 years of diesel or heavy equipment experience preferred. A CDL may be required at some locations; you’ll need a valid license and the ability to adapt to field conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work with a diverse fleet including aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and generators in various locations.
