Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet including aerials, pumps, and general construction tools. Responsibilities include minimizing downtime while following safety guidelines and working across location sites.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, and a valid driver’s license; CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment.
• Repair equipment to minimize downtime; operate on a fleet including aerials, pumps, and HVAC gear.
• Adhere to safety policies; work in varied indoor/outdoor locations.
