Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of equipment at our locations. You will work on diverse makes and models in challenging environments, focusing on reliability and uptime.

The role requires 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems, and a valid driver's license. CDL may be needed in some areas; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Possess valid driver's license; CDL license may be required in some locations.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way to avoid downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Support a safety-focused environment and collaborate with a team to keep jobs on track.
