Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet in challenging remote locations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency, including Aerial Work Platforms, pumps and HVAC/generator units. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver’s license (CDL may be required in some locations).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
