Job summary

Qualifications

• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Operates 5 yard standard dump truck for hauling materials.
• Operates small equipment such as brush chipper, 4 ton roller, and sweeper tractor with broom.
• Performs manual labor for repair and preservation of state highways and bridges.
• Operates heavier equipment like front end loaders, tractor with ditcher, boom mowers and backhoes.
• Assists with placement of traffic control devices and serves as a flagger in work zones.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
