Job summary

DSV Lancaster, TX is seeking a Manager, Brokerage Operations to lead daily trucking brokerage activities, including load planning, dispatch, and carrier selection, ensuring on-time performance and profitability.

You will collaborate with Sales and Customer Service, manage KPIs, and mentor staff while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong carrier relationships. This role is based in Lancaster with a base pay range of $90,000–$105,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of truck brokerage, transportation management, or 3PL operations experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in an operations/dispatch capacity.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and industry experience accepted.
• Proven leadership with a hands-on, results-oriented management style.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across internal teams, customers, and carrier networks.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive improvements.
• Solid understanding of transportation regulations, market dynamics, and brokerage operations.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily trucking brokerage operations: load planning, dispatch, carrier selection, on-time performance.
• Monitor workflow to meet customer requirements, costs, and company policies.
• Coach and develop operations staff to strengthen performance and accountability.
• Analyze KPIs (margin, cost per load, carrier utilization) and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service for smooth handoffs and issue resolution.
• Build strong relationships with carriers and customers to promote reliability and growth.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic projects.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
