Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH's South Division, is a leading supplier of quality asphalt and Construction Services in the southeastern U.S., with operations in Alabama. This role is located at the former P&R Pit and involves general labor at an asphalt plant, with potential involvement on highway or production crews.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 30 pounds, perform basic tool and math tasks, and have reliable attendance. Prior road construction or asphalt plant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and be capable of passing required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills.
• One year of verifiable work experience preferred in road construction, quarry or Asphalt Plant.
• Maintain reliable attendance, meeting company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general laboring duties at an asphalt plant and may assist on a heavy highway crew or on a production crew.
• Assist on a heavy highway crew, or on a production crew; help with various labor tasks.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety regulations on site.
