Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a general laborer for road construction projects. The role involves performing a wide range of laboring duties on heavy highway crews and production crews.

Responsibilities include shoveling, raking, traffic control, material handling, setting and stripping concrete forms, pouring concrete, vibrating, and maintaining safety. Prior asphalt familiarity is a plus; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills.
• One year of verifiable work experience in Heavy Highway Construction.
• Prior experience with asphalt preferred.
• Maintain reliable attendance, meeting company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general laboring duties on a Road Construction project on a heavy highway crew or production crew.
• Shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, strips and cleans concrete forms, pours concrete, shovels, vibrates, and maintains good housekeeping and safety regulations.
• Experience working around asphalt and equipment operating skills would be beneficial.
