Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., a CRH Company, is hiring production workers for road construction projects in Alabama. The role involves performing general labor, shoveling, raking, traffic control, and material movement on heavy highway or production crews. Prior construction experience is preferred and physical stamina is required.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 30 pounds, pass a physical exam, and use basic tools and measurements. Familiarity with asphalt and equipment operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses; basic mathematical and measurement skills (adding, subtracting, division, and multiplication).

Responsibilities

• Will perform a wide range of general laboring duties on a Road Construction project on a heavy highway crew, or on a production crew.
• Includes shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, strips and cleaning concrete forms, pours concrete, shovels, vibrates, and maintains good housekeeping and safety regulations.
• Experience working around asphalt and equipment operating skills would be beneficial.
