Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., a CRH Company, seeks a general laborer at our asphalt plant in Alabama. You will support production and highway crew tasks, including shoveling, raking, material handling, and site cleanup.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly, basic math and tool knowledge, and a reliable attendance record. Prior road construction or asphalt plant experience is a plus, and safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills.
• One year of verifiable work experience preferred in road construction, quarry or asphalt plant.
• Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general laboring duties at an asphalt plant and assist on heavy highway or production crews.
• Shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, and cleaning concrete forms.
• Pouring concrete and operating basic equipment as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety regulations.
