Job summary

Lewis and Clark County Public Works seeks an Equipment Operator to perform road and bridge maintenance and repair in Lincoln, MT. The role requires living within 30 miles of Lincoln, MT and a valid Class A CDL.

You will operate a range of heavy equipment and support snow removal and emergency operations. The incumbent will perform tasks such as pothole repairs, drainage work, sign maintenance, and traffic control while following county policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of road maintenance or road construction experience.
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform road maintenance and repairs including pothole repairs, grading, and drainage work.
• Operate heavy equipment such as plow trucks, dump trucks, rollers, graders, and other machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Assist in emergency operations and snow removal as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and county policies.
