Lewis and Clark County is seeking a District Operator to manage and assist in daily maintenance operations for public works within a designated district around Lincoln, Montana. A valid Class A CDL is required, with preference for candidates who have 5 years of road/bridge maintenance experience.

The role involves coordinating equipment, scheduling operations, enforcing safety, and responding to emergencies as needed. On-site work in a fast-paced public works environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Five (5) years road or bridge maintenance and road or bridge construction experience preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship may be considered equivalent to educational requirements.

Responsabilités

• Repairs and maintains County roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
• Coordinates equipment requirements for projects within designated district.
• Schedules daily road operations and maintenance within district.
• Oversees safety policies and ensures PPE is used by staff.
• Operates County vehicles and adheres to laws and policies.
• May respond to emergencies and assist in coordinating district staff.
