Job summary

Hirschbach is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to manage unscheduled breakdowns and coordinate repairs across the United States. You will route drivers to trusted vendors, make cost-efficient repair decisions, and keep communications clear across maintenance, safety, and operations.

Expect a 4 days on/4 days off schedule with a 7:00 am—7:00 pm or 7:00 pm—7:00 am shift, plus a $4,200 annual shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s in supply chain, logistics, or transportation is a plus.
• Experience in logistics, repair coordination, or dispatch preferred.
• Excellent multitasking skills—you can juggle multiple critical situations without dropping the ball.
• Tech savvy—comfortable navigating AS-400, Peoplenet, Electronic Logs, and Netgraf.
• Composed and clear communicator, even when everything's on the line.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to unscheduled breakdowns and coordinate emergency repairs across the U.S.
• Route drivers to trusted vendors or service centers using our network.
• Make cost-effective repair decisions while keeping drivers informed.
• Track events with status updates, repairs, and escalate serious issues as needed.
• Handle DOT and non-DOT incidents, cargo concerns, OS&D issues, and injuries.
• Own the night with reporting and real-time problem-solving across maintenance, safety, and ops.
• Answer calls, emails, and questions from operators, customers, and internal teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act fast to manage unscheduled breakdowns and coordinate emergency repair assistance across the U.S.


• Route drivers to trusted vendors or service centers using our extensive network and database.


• Make smart decisions to ensure the fastest, most cost-effective repair solutions-all while keeping drivers informed.


• Track every event with precision: document status, communicate repairs, escalating serious issues, and keep operations in the loop.


• Respond to DOT and non-DOT accidents, cargo concerns, OS&D issues, and injuries-swiftly and accurately.


• Own the night with accurate reporting, real-time problem-solving, and effective coordination across maintenance, safety, and ops.


• Be the voice of calm during chaos-answering calls, emails, and questions from operators, customers, and internal teams.
