Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to deliver safe perioperative care across the OR and related areas. The role includes acting as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and providing patient-family centered care throughout the perioperative continuum.

Requirements include a nursing degree, completion of an AORN RN First Assistant program, 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience, and CNOR/CRNFA with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program is required
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical) is required
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience required
• 3 years RN or Surgical Tech experience in the CVOR if working in the CVOR is required
• Georgia RN licensure and/or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure required; CNOR, CRNFA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and perioperative care
• Delivers safe, patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative settings
• Serves as an RN circulator as needed during procedures
