Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, quality perioperative care across all patient populations. You will function as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum, and may also circulate as needed.

Required credentials include CNOR, CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS, plus 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience and 3 years in CVOR if applicable. AORN-RN FA program completion is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical).
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if CVOR work.
• Active Georgia RN licensure (NLC/eNCL multi-state acceptable).
• CNOR, CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS, PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Delivers safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Required and
• CNOR - Certified Operating Room RN if applicable Required
• CRNFA - Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• ACLS Required and
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required

• Surgical Services: Additional Required Certifications: PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) OR - BLS required only within 180 Days Required
