Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe and quality perioperative care in the OR and related settings. You will function as an RN first assistant during operative procedures and may serve as RN circulator as required.

Required are a nursing degree, Georgia RN licensure, completion of an AORN RN First Assistant program, and 2 years perioperative RN/RNFA experience; CNOR/CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS and PALS are expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nursing program and RN licensure in Georgia.
• Completion of AORN-RN First Assistant program required.
• Minimum perioperative RN or RNFA experience specified.
• CVOR experience preferred if working in CVOR.
• Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required; CNOR and CRNFA certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, quality patient-family centered perioperative care in OR and related areas.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required and

Work Experience

• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience Required
• 3 years minimum experience of as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if working in the CVOR Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Required and
• CNOR - Certified Operating Room RN if applicable Required
• CRNFA - Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
