Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Deep mechanistic understanding of unit operations and engineering fundamentals for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive RNA-LNP innovation through publications, presentations, and industry influence.
• Develop mechanistic understanding of RNA-LNP unit operations and how process design impacts quality attributes.
• Build process capabilities across lab, early-phase clinical, and scale-up scales; evaluate new manufacturing and characterization technologies for RNA-LNP drug products.
• Advance RNA-LNP portfolio assets from scale-up through early-phase clinical manufacture; mitigate scale-up risks and support tech transfers to manufacturing sites.
• Author technical reports and CMC sections for early-phase regulatory filings; address health-authority questions with colleagues.
• Engage discovery teams to identify risks and accelerate candidate progression; establish relationships with academic and industry partners to access RNA-LNP innovations.
• Mentor junior scientists and ensure compliance with Development Quality, regulatory, and HSE requirements.
