Job summary

Lilly is seeking a scientist to design and execute RNA-LNP formulation and process development studies for early-phase clinical trial supplies. You will support technology transfer, collaborate with Discovery, API Development, and CT Operations, and help scale manufacturing processes.

The role requires hands-on RNA-LNP formulation experience, analytical method proficiency, and strong communication to drive platform innovation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on experience formulating RNA-LNPs, including rapid-mixing and downstream processing (TFF, dialysis, sterile filtration).
• Experience with RNA-LNP analytical methods and data interpretation.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute experiments with increasing independence.
• Analyze data and propose next steps.
• Develop and scale LNP manufacturing processes (rapid-mixing, TFF, filtration).
• Characterize process parameters and quality attributes (size, encapsulation, RNA integrity).
• Support technology transfer to CDMOs or internal sites for early-phase CT manufacture.
• Author technical reports, protocols, and development summaries.
