Job summary
Prime Medicine is seeking a Senior Scientist to design and engineer RNA components for Prime Editing systems, driving platform technologies and translational impact. The role focuses on on‑going RNA design, expression optimization, and collaboration across computational biology and development programs.
The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. with 5+ years of postdoctoral or drug discovery experience in RNA biology and mRNA engineering, and a track record of translating discoveries into therapeutic
Qualifications
- Ph.D. plus 5+ years postdoctoral/drug discovery experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise in mRNA biology and engineering (IVT, UTR design, codon usage, RNA structure).
- Experience in cross-functional, collaborative research environments.
- Experience with engineered RNA formats (circular RNA, modified nucleosides) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize novel mRNA architectures for Prime Editing applications to maximize expression and in vivo performance.
- Design and execute well-controlled experiments to probe structure-function relationships.
- Lead discovery efforts for platform-level applications enabled by Prime Editing.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external collaborators to translate advances into programs.
