Description

Assist residents with exercise to improve or maintain mobility and independence. Encourage residents to stay active and out of bed unless contraindicated. Assist with transfers, ambulation, and range of motion exercises. Provide clean, well-maintained clothing and linens. Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Change residents' positions regularly to prevent skin issues and assist in maintaining odor-free conditions. Support the Therapy Department with active/passive range of motion exercises and complete care charting. Foster a warm, positive, and calm environment. Report significant changes or concerns to the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, or Therapy Department. Help residents prepare for medical tests, activities, social programs, appointments, and meals. Assist with elimination needs, including catheter care and provision of bedpans, urinals, and bedside commodes. Support residents' personal hygiene, skin care, grooming, oral hygiene, shaving, and nail care. Provide pressure-relieving devices and skin protection measures. In the absence of therapists or consultants, serve in a maintenance capacity. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
