Job summary

MEO Staffing Inc. is seeking an experiencedRegistered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services in Rutherfordton, NC. You will join a dedicated team delivering comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Antepartum stages.

As an RN, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and provide education to patients and families to support safe discharge and follow-up care.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with multidisciplinary team; shares pertinent patient data and needs; provides accurate and timely handoff communications; keeps patients and families informed about their care.
• Establishes nursing diagnosis based on assessment data; formulates care plan; collaborates with patient/family to address care needs and provide patient centered care; adjusts plan of care accordingly.
• Identifies and addresses patient/family care needs promptly; patients are regularly assessed and reassessed; evaluates and documents responses to nursing and MD interventions.
• Initiates discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach to meet discharge care needs of each patient.
• Educates patient and family about hospitalization, medications, and discharge prep; provides discharge instructions including follow-up/referral needs.
